Get Motivated Boot Camp

I had an unruly teenager, violent, fought at school, was failing school, and would always yell and try to hit me. I live in North Texas and found a bootcamp that did wonders for my son and my family. It was unlike a regular bootcamp though, it had the bootcamp aspect but also did therapy and combined help for my son as well as help for my family. If anyone is close to the North Texas area and you need help with your family you should definitely check this out. It will help you, your child and your family as a whole. The phone number is 940-365-1818 if you would like to know more. They also have a website that describes the program.

Boot camps really is the best for teens to set and learn the value of discipline and respect. Parents like us would love that our teens would be guided with the right person that we could seek help for and boot camps have all the answers that we're looking for.

To most parents consider boot camps as your alternative to get your troubled teens in a new well being of his/her life.

I was put in this program in February and it has really changed my life. It is about 75% therapy and 25% PT. They push you to do your best. It is a great program. If anyone is having trouble with their kids, I would count this as an option to straighten them out. It makes you look at the past and wonder why you acted the way you did. For more information on this boot camp, call (940) 365-1818

Maybe one of the biggest causes of teen unruliness is the parents. Not respecting their teenagers, feeding their body and minds with junk food.

A boot camp to kick the parents into line might be a food first line of defense!

I have to tentatively agree with you Lisa, although I don't know how much it has to do with junk food. It has to do with tolerance levels or the lack of discipline.

As mothers went to work to help support the family, there started a litany of ills for the family. Parents try to "make up" the time they didn't spend with the kids by buying them stuff they don't need and don't respect because they didn't have to lift a finger to earn it.

That started the entitlement age. Along with entitlement comes spoiled and rude behavior. Not to mention, as the schools did away with corporal punishment, kids were no longer hampered by a consequence to acting badly in school. They could do whatever they want and got nothing but sent home, which is probably what they wanted to begin with.

These kids acting up want attention. I say that is what they need. Attention, a good diet, exercise, and most of all discipline.

Just imagine a diet of soda pop and Twinkie... you think anyone's brain could perform rationally when fed with that?

If you brain is spastic from what you eat... how could you even talk about proper behavior or discipline?

I can talk about discipline because it IS part of the problem. It isn't just about them having a spastic brain, any more than it would be about them having blonde hair.

If you are raised learning that you don't have to work for a single thing you have, and there are no consequences whatsoever for rude or intolerable behavior, that is the fault of those who don't discipline you.

I have seen very hyper children with lots of mind warping energy from sugar, but they don't all act like heathens without a clue about respect.

Why not attack the root problem not jousting with symptoms?

If their brain is feeding on junk and consequently thinking well before par.. do you really think discipline will get them on track?

It is really a question of interest and motivation more than discipline. If your kids are interested and motivated to do something, you'll find discipline much less of an issue.

If your kids are well fed and nourished you'll find that they are naturally curious and rarely bored.

I had some trouble with my son a few years ago during his high school years. I researched and contacted several boarding schools and boot camps. I learned there is a difference between the two and boarding schools seemed to be a better fit in our situation. Not only from a educational aspect, but they have sports teams and other groups that actively participate with other local high schools.

Boarding schools also offer the discipline and the therapy that contributes to the positive behavioral changes most troubled teens need.

Whether it be a private boarding schools, girl boarding schools, boy boarding schools, residential treatment programs, wilderness programs, boot camps, therapeutic boarding schools, summer camps or Christian boarding schools, there's always program that can help get a troubled teen back on the right track. The facility should specialize in helping troubled teens who struggle with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, defiance, drug abuse, failure in school, laziness, and poor family relationships.

Boarding schools which utilizes the outdoor components of a summer camp or a wilderness program is personally more effective program since it allows each teen to benefit from the therapeutic atmosphere of the outdoors.

They can call it boot camp if they want but essentially the ideal premise of such an institution is the life-changing program they go through, of growth, and of being in an alternate environment that has been proven already to help troubled kids. It won't really damage the child's mind perhaps it will change how the child views his education and his future. I understand parents arrive at a point where they feel troubled and uncertain about their children's successes in school but to enroll them in programs that are therapy to their well-being, perhaps that could be rewarding to both the parents and the kids. The struggle is still there yet there is already a motivated effort to keep up :)

True, boot camps nowadays, have combined their activities with counselling. They have counselors art the ready for those kids that are troubled. So, this is ideal for trouble teens that are in need of help with the problems they are going through. Plus, discipline being the main premise of a boot camp will help your change his/her ways for the better. :D

The program at this bootcamp is about following thru and being consistent with ur children and if u do that u will succeed here. It also helps with kids who have low self esteem, gives them confidence. U learn discipline and communication, it helps the whole family!!
