Questions: Ways to create stress reduction?

Thank author of this post/commentWhen I know that I have a lot of work to do I procrastinate by doing something irrelevant (like walking down the halls, eating a bunch of yogurts, watching tv, etc). I think it has something to do with the stress related to it, but everytime I put off my problems temporarily by taking a break I extend the problem. I have a big report due for a humanities class and a couple of other assignments that are screaming to get done. I dunno if anyone's been in a similar situation/ crises before. What did you do to take off that stress load?

1. Jump in the jacuzzi and sit there for an hour in the bubbles, sipping champagne.

2. Go for a cycle around the lake.

3. Bake some cookies, or cakes.

4. Read a book.

5. Start a huge jig-saw puzzle.

6. Phone a friend for a good chat.

7. Watch a silly soapie, and be grateful for the life you have.

2. Cycle or walk...

3. Yeah and send your blood sugar reeling... why not go for a walk and pick some fresh fruit or flowers?

4. Skip books... get a kindle!

5. Right on.

6. Skip the phone... go out and have some real social interaction. So much of our stress is from lack of any real contact and believing that things such as social networking or cell phones is a suitable replacement. Make a point to NEVER use your phone or computer for any kind of "socializing".

7. What is a soapie? Soap Opera? And Programming you mind it believe that is how life is or should be? Why not just relax in the park observing real people?

I like the post of Lisa here. I think there are really good and healthy ways to reduce stress. We have to get those stress out of our system because if we let it ruin our day surely, we will loose track. I like walking at park and listening to music while sitting under the trees. Anyway, thanks for sharing those tips here Lisa. Have a good day to all.

Well it's really unhealthy sometimes if we face bulk of work in the office and we don't know how to overcome stress. It's quite disturbing and you even come to a point where you can't do your job well because of stress.

When I am stress I usually take time to attend Yoga class. But, the most important thing is to try not to procrastinate things and good time management.

There are actually so many things that can cause stress in our lives. Work, marriage life, peer pressure, the people surrounding you, and a lot of things can cause stress. Sometimes, we need to spend time to unwind and give ourselves a break.

There are also several ways in order for us to reduce stress. But normally, I go out with my friends and we sometimes spend at least three days swimming in a private beach. After that, I feel so decompressed and so light.

That is true Angel. There are really lots of factors that would surely brought stress. And though we cannot avoid them from ever happening, we can somehow do stuffs to relieve ourselves from all of the mind busting stress in life.

In my case I would have some time for myself, go out with my daughter or with my husband and have a movie. Why let yourself down with all of those stressing situations in life?
