Article: Rushing Through the Game of Life

Thank author of this post/commentWhen I was younger, I told myself that I already wanted to fast forward my life and proceed to being a grandfather. I always envisioned myself in a porch of sorts, sitting on a rocking chair while looking at my grandchildren playing nearby. I didn't want to go through being a father. I didn't even bother thinking of becoming a working professional.

Well all of us have this want to skip through time just to escape some events in our life that we might be afraid of facing. Like in the movie Forever Young when this guy undergoes what seemed to be hibernation just to prevent himself from witnessing his fiance's death.

But what is important is that we take each step in life and we try to enjoy all of what are to come.

I don't think that it is a normal thinking to have. Many of the young now are preparing their selves in a much serious phase in life, which I think is normal, but rushing things is quite unusual. When you grow up, you should realize that other people as well grow old and it is the normal flow of life, no one could skip a part of hs life because of a simple reason that he does not want that side of him. Let's be open minded.

Life at times is stressful. We seem to have a lot of things to face to the point that we could not almost handle them well because we feel stressed. If I think too much of those problems I don't think it will help, so I take time to consider the possible things I may do to relieve stress. Listening to music or taking a massage sometimes reduces stress.

I think it is only natural to dream of the future without thinking about how sweet the present day is. The ironic thing is that old people all tend to think the opposite; what would they different if they were young again?

That is really an unusual dream you have. Some one told me that you should not rush everything, things would fall out in their proper places as soon as possible. It will be a good idea if you are able to meet other people or people expert in this field to to help you in the ideas that you usually think. I hope people would not rush everything including their lives.

What's the rush? We only live once so let us make the most out of it. School is an integral part of life as this serve as a big training ground for the real life ahead. Once we are living our dreams, what's next then? Whether we rush through a game of life or not, aging is inevitable and we are all bound to expire. So let's not rush things. Enjoy things and become a productive individual.

People surely have different views on matters. And it is great to know that we are capable of choosing which one to believe and stand up. But you know what, what makes life more challenging, happy and very much well appreciated would be those times when you are taking each day of your life as if it was the last. Do the things that you love most and be happy. Life is too short, we would not want to miss just a single day of it, or even skip a timeline.
