Article: Bandwagon Effect: Because Everybody Loves A Winner

Thank author of this post/commentThe bandwagon effect is a well-studied behavior in psychology that has found application among many spheres. In the simplest sense, the bandwagon effect asserts that people are more likely to follow a trend if they find that more and more people are "jumping the bandwagon." This is regardless of any evidence showing that there really is a trend or regardless if the trend that is followed is something that these people would really want to follow on its own.
