Being a new parent to a four month old, I can tell you personally that the stress your body is under can be very overwhelming at times. When my daughter was 0-6 weeks old, it was the worst. I had a baby that spit everything up, didn't sleep, and cried a lot. I thought it would never get better. Now she is four months old. She still spits up sometimes, but hardly ever cries and she sleeps on average about eight hours per night. Woohoo is all I have to say. I never thought I would make in this far. So, to the new mommies and daddies, it does get better and the stress will go away with the constant crying and no sleeping. Comment #1 Karen from Southwest - Having my first child was quite stressful for me as well. Being new to motherhood I stressed about everything. The one thing that really made me worry was SIDS. We had a friend whose baby had died of it and I was paranoid that the same was going to happen to me. The first month of being a mother was so overwhelming. I couldn't keep up with maintaining my home and I was just completely exhausted. It's funny, I look back to that time and can remember myself saying that I was never going to have another kid, this was just too much for me to handle. Well, as everyone knows, you get through it. I ended up having two more kids after that. LOL.
