A lot of investors are looking for employees who have right organizational skills. So I think Organizational Psychology can help more employees to have highly effective organizational skill. This is also helpful for students who undergo internship. If they are equipped of proper industrial and organizational skills they would probably be at top of ladder in their chosen field. They will also face diversity and adjustment in the workplace effectively.

I think today, if an investor could find a single employee that focused on WORK and not facebook, msn, twitter, personal cell calls and SMS messages, you've have a very happy investor!

You've heard of the 4 hour work week? That means 40 hours at the office and 4 of them for work! 36 for goofing off!

I don't know why people have to bark about social networks and cell phones. I know I have a cell phone, but normally it only rings when I need to take care of something. Life doesn't stop because work goes on.

I work from home, so that means that I do work at all hours of the day including times when people who work in an office environment are home spending time with their family. Why then, shouldn't I be able to take a moment to see what is needed by one of my kids or what have you?

Also, as far as Facebook or Twitter is concerned, why is it ok to open the pages and leave them sit there so you can post twits or messages about products, but not to leave them open and sit there so maybe once an hour you can glance at the new posts, which may take 15 seconds?

I don't think any human on earth that works in front of a computer can sit for 8 hours a day without either getting up, looking at the weather, reading the news or having other distractions.

Work is work and should be work related or approved breaks.

A few years ago it would be inconceivable to spend so much time at work on personal matters. Of course life doesn't stop, but those outside of your work can wait till you finish!

Do you think the auto assembly lines shutdown for 15 seconds, just cause one of the workers wants to peruse twitter?

Working from home presents other obstacles related to time management but it is just as important to have UNINTERRUPTED work time set aside.

You are completely missing my point Lisa! I am talking about life being interrupted by work, not vice versa.

I devote plenty of uninterrupted time for work, both day and night, and much more than in the days of old when I went to work at an office for 9 hours with 2 15 minute breaks and a hour for lunch.

Now I work more hours in spurts of uninterrupted time than I did when I worked previously. Do you really expect workers who are employed in this manner to work 12 hours a day and not have any life in between spurts of work? Somewhere in there, the brain needs some down time, dude!

I didn't object to down time, or breaks.

I object to constant interruptions of work personal matters. I object to personal use of work facilities (computers, networks, etc) for personal use.

With respect to doing personal email, social networking, etc at work, aside from being interruptive and unfair to who ever is paying for your time, it present security and other risks.

I can't imagine taking a break at work and filling it with using social networking sites.

Try these for some break ideas:

1) Leave the office, walk around the block.

2) Do some exercise, get a rebounder or chi machine for the office (get your boss to pay for it and mandate all workers take an morning and afternoon break using them).

3) Hide in the bathroom for 10 or 15 minutes if there is nothing else you can do away from computers, cell phones and other technology.

A break isn't a break if you aren't really doing anything different than sitting at your computer.

Working at home is more difficult to organize the work time and personal time, but at work its pretty clear, either you should be working or on an 'official' break.

Sneaking in personal cell phone calls, sms's, chat, email, social networking, etc is an insult to your employer and your intellect.
