Comfort or Discomfort?

Usually we have tendencies to eat when feeling blue. To whatever reason we might have for our emotional stress, one common solution we have is to eat out our misery away. Thus, food is labeled as "comfort food", but rather than comfort we should be aware the inconvenience that excessive eating can bring to our health.

If in exchange of our comfort is our health and figure then we should really reconsider.

That is true but how can you blame those who finds comfort in eating delicious foods? Have you thought of eating one delicious food in your life and how hard it is to just drop the idea of even tasting it, it oh so hard. I think it is fine to eat to your hearts content sometimes, but not at all times. What are the use of the food if we would not enjoy them.

Thank author of this post/comment"Discomfort from Comfort"

What about all the discomfort that ultimately comes from eating that "delicious" food?

Why can't fresh, natural foods be delicious?

I made some water melon juice, watermelon and a bit of water in the blender. Quite delicious and very sweet. A friend refused to even taste it because I hadn't loaded it up with extra sugar.

You are not "enjoying" those foods. You are addicted to them.

Hi there! One of the reasons why a lot of people have gained weight because of untimely eating. We tend to eat more when we are emotionally stressed. This is really true. Sometimes, it happens to me, too. I always eat more when I feel down.

Thank you so much and have a great day!

Talk about comfort food. Yes, I do tend to eat a lot when I'm stressed or problematic because that's how I de-stress or try to feel good. My greatest comfort food is dark chocolate with nuts and ben & jerry's new york super chunk fudge ice cream. But generally, pasta and pizza topped with delicious chocolate dessert and lots of good stories with my good friends are already comfort food to me.
