hi there. i'm now currently going to be a high school senior and i've been thinking about my major for college. i find psychology to be very interesting and i have a few questions. i've read sites online describing the difference between clinical and counseling psychology. it's true that both have many many similarities, but which is actually better in dealing with people who have had a tough life and need help? i understand that clinical psychology deals with people whose problems are more "abnormal" and counseling deals with people who are more "normal", but i don't fully understand the depth of that. to waht extent is abnormal? and to what extent is normal? cause to me the word "normal" doesn't totally flow if a psychologist is helping a person get better. if a person who seeks a psychologist, the person may not be crazy with a disorder like schizophrenia, but obviously is suffering from emotional or mental distress. otherwise the person wouldn't be asking a psychologist for help. i really need to make the proper decision here so i'm hoping that you can help me. thank you for your time.

That is true, like you Crystal I am also enjoying reading books that are in relation to psychology. It helps me understand the way people thinks and why they act, think and do stuffs. This way I know how to deal with people, different kinds of them. I am finding it easy to deal with them. Anyway, can you suggest any good psychology books? Hope to hear from all of you soon.
