I think I'm going psycho

Nillerz from NY -

Hiya.

Since I dropped out of school about 2 months ago, I've undergone major personality changes seemingly without cause. Many things I would never do before, such as following my logic into believing the only woman I could ever love is a female version of me (I'm male) and then drawing the female version of me, naming it, and then calling it art, I don't seem too troubled by now. The fact that I'm not troubled really troubles me, because of the obvious contradiction, followed by even more following my mind into logic storms that end up leading to "headache". The word "Obsessive compulsive" comes to mind, but I don't think I'm obsissive compulsive, I think I just have OC tendencies. For example, I cut off a large chunk of my thumb a while back, and I rub the stump in patterns until it's sore and red, geometric shapes, and mathematical equalities that I don't often even understand the rules to.

So, Am I just nuts? Or, perhaps am I over analyzing everything I do?

I think you are definately over thinking this. You could just be stressed out, but i would see a psycologist.

Dude your crazy. No way around it. You just rambled on and I don't understand a thing your saying!

You're definitely over analyzing everything. Have consulted a shrink about your condition.

If you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), consult a psychiatrist. I have a friend who have such condition and he is taking some pills which helps him control his disorder.

According to him the best way to prevent this things going through your head is to keep yourself occupied with something, like sports or art or any other relaxing activities.

Stanley is right. You have issues man.

Have you figured everything out yet Nillerz? I*m interested in how everything turns out..

I think I have a slight case OCD.. Its kinda weird.

Ouch that sounds real painful. It sucks you can't help that you do this, I would defiantly see a shrink if I were you.

Yeah I think your a little out there, I would go see a doctor and TRY explaining to him whats going on, it sounds like to me you have bad anxiety!

Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a chronic condition, which means it may always be part of your life. While you can't treat OCD on your own, you can do some things for yourself that will build on your treatment plan:

* Take your medications as directed. Even if you're feeling well, resist any temptation to skip your medications. If you stop, OCD symptoms are likely to return.

* Pay attention to warning signs. You and your doctors may have identified things that may trigger your OCD symptoms. Make a plan so that you know what to do if symptoms return. Contact your doctor or therapist if you notice any changes in symptoms or how you feel.

* Avoid drugs and alcohol. Alcohol and illicit drugs may worsen OCD symptoms. Also, get appropriate treatment for a substance abuse problem.

* Check first before taking other medications. Contact the doctor who's treating you for OCD before you take medications prescribed by another doctor or before taking any over-the-counter medications, vitamins, minerals or supplements. These may interact with your OCD medications.

The symptoms you mention are problems with thought more than feeling. I suggest you see a psychiatrist for evaluation. There are several things it might be, all treatable.

For the person who feels suicidal, please to the nearest emergency room for an evaluation. The racing thoughts can be slowed down. There are people who are willing, eager, and trained to work with you. You deserve the best help available. Please get it.

Before I have a hard time sleeping and I'm wondering why. It's like I'm having insomnia. So I worry, and the more I worry, the more I can't sleep until a friend told me that inorder for me to sleep, I have to relax my mind but not thinking at all. I did and it's true. Now, I know the technique. So stop worrying to avoid insomnia and to stop worrying is to simply not think or calm your mind by some soothing good memories that happened to you. Thinking some happy moments can do wonders in what you feel.

Hi Nillerz from NY:

I really feel for you...I have had similar situations. You need to go back to your exit from school two months ago and try to find out what feelings you had then, you must have dropped deep into your emotional depths and something struck a nerve. there must be something in your background that "moved". Important that you realize that your feelings and thoughts are not "you", they are simply things that go through your mind and you can know that they are going through and LET THEM GO THROUGH. Thoughts come and go, they are no threat.

Also seek professional help.

best wishes,

Chris

Definitely need a shrink, man! Take care...

Dude, you need to consult a psychiatrist ASAP. Again, I seemed not to understand a whole part of your post but it serves to show that you are a very bright person. Try to cultivate good thoughts and a positive pattern of living. That will not be easy unless you find someone to speak to. Have you tried to talk to your friends and have your parents been of help? You need professional help man

Wait wait wait... what was that, a suicidal man? i don't know how to address you properly sorry no name, but i have to tell you that your terribly in need of mental prof help!

Do not think that way and consult for immediate health advice, i mean mental health advice, for it is not healthy to think that way my god.

What have gone into you by thinking that way.

I bet that guy terribly needs some advice. I think you should also talk to your family, friends and ventilate what you want to say. Do you have problems or is there anything bothering you?

If you want you can share and open things up in this forum with us and let us see if we can do something about it.

Committing suicide is never an answer to any problem.

Know what, i think you are experiencing a mental disorder, and not OCD, but narcissism.

Narcissistic persons tends to love themselves more than anything else. And some experts says that those people who suffers from this disease lacks attention and love from their parents while they are still little.

Well, maybe you can read more on the link that i have provided here in this forum. Ciao..

Hey no name, how can we email u if you have not provided any email address at all? Or if we do, how sure are we that you can still read the email, for all we know you are a suicidal freak, what if your dead by the time that we do manage to give you an advice..

Stay calm and focus, NEVER ever try to commit suicide, it is a mortal sin!

Just that fact that one can actually say that they think they are going psycho, would mean that you are actually not at all even close to such a mind state. People that are psycho, tend to not be able to recognize this fact. Dropping out of school can cause unwanted stress that one may even be able to attribute yo mental insanity, but still, for one to be able to say that they think that they are actually going psycho, shows that one is much further from such a circumstance, than one may have expected.

I cannot imagine what it must be like to actually think that you might be going psycho, really and truly. I am guessing that one would simply have to let go of every thought about what reality really and truly is all about, to them.

Hi there suicidal dude, I think you should think twice before actually thinking of doing such things. You are talking about ending your own life and it is very alarming. Guess you have to be guided and be counseled.

Hi there Nillerz?

There are lots of things that bugs you, and I think you have lots of issues. And if you do not mind me suggesting, I think it is best if you take a break and think of all the things that makes you feel that way, sometimes just realizing those things that bothers you can make you realize the problem. How are you now anyway? Hope to hear from you soon.
